Mountaineers "SnoMo" trips are suited for those that have some recreational vehicle experience. You will be provided with a powerful Yamaha Viper snowmobile, a three-cylinder 1000cc machine with approximately 140 horsepower. These snowmobiles have more than double the displacement that we offer in our other non SnoMo tours. These performance snowmobiles are single seated mountain machine monsters capable of literally all snowy terrains.

We do not operate the glacier rush tours with our regular tours and therefore, you will be able to travel faster, further and experience more. Our professional guides will tailor your trip according to weather and terrain and you will experience the glacier-like the locals do on their own performance machines. This tour is the true glacier rush!
Our friendly and fun-loving guides will give you instructions on how to operate the snowmobile and go over the safety procedures before you set off into the winter wonderland. For this tour, we only use our most skillful and professional guides.
Please Note
We cannot accommodate two passengers per snowmobile in these tours since the Yamaha Viper snowmobiles are single-riders only.

Day 1 - Glacier Rush - Performance snowmobiling
We offer under our brand name SnoMo performance snowmobiling on Langjökull Glacier. These glacier rush trips suit those looking for a bigger thrill and a faster pace. This tour is better suited for those that have some recreational vehicle experience. This tour is an excellent choice for those with their own transportation and able to meet us at the Cafe at Gullfoss waterfalls. There we’ll pick you up and take you to our basecamp at the glacier.

We don’t operate glacier rush tours with our traditional tours and you’ll, therefore, be able to travel faster, further and experience more. Our professional guides will tailor your trip according to weather and terrain. You’ll get to experience the glacier like the locals do on their performance machines. This tour is the true glacier rush!
You will receive the appropriate equipment at our basecamp, such as helmets, overalls, overshoes, gloves and a hat. Our friendly and fun-loving guides will give you instructions on how to operate the snowmobile and go over the safety procedures before you ride off into the winter wonderland.

What do I need to bring?
We recommend that you bring warm & windproof clothing in addition to good, waterproof hiking boots and a camera.
